Actually JIRA seems a better place for "smaller details" as you may still
get a daily digest here (or on your own mail) and you may "subscribe" to a
ticket if you want but it gets lost rather easily in mail threads like this
one.[?]

Regarding some essential patterns, you may notice, the W3C Spec also
defined at least one pair Service and ServiceFactory, so while names are a
little different here and there, the Client / ClientFactory equivalent
makes sense.

Compared alternatives are often not much better on the desktop, see

On the other hand, there is some sort of "max_image_width" though 600x480
is very conservative, yet safe.

For OpenDDR it called the 800x600 assumption a drawback, and simply
multiplying that by 2 makes the negative side-effect worse, that is
something we should have discussed either here or in JIRA before throwing
it into a merged "final" release of the DDR data.
