Was running 4.0.1. Using restore/backup, I backed up the server data (520 MB) to my desktop. Installed 4.1b4 as a fresh install (computer wouldn't allow me to upgrade, said there probably wasn't enough space on the hard disk, which is 1.3 Gigs). Everything installed fine, I can access the Internet and the server, no problem. In e-smith manager, I chose "Restore from desktop." Browsed to desktop, selected ESMITHSG.BAK. Clicked "Restore." In the browser, address http://192.168.1.1:980/cgi-bin/backup appeared with the message "Cannot find server."
