Flexbackup is inadequately friendly and inadequately documented. We are
working on both issues. We also don't consider flexbackup the
one-size-fits-all solution for tape backup. We will continue to
investigate other options and may offer more than one option, possibly
including commercial offerings.

Some questions Brandon has asked suggests that he is using an older
version, or at least not the version which I built suitable for e-smith
version 4.0 which is in my contrib area. I've discovered that that version
does not run on the 4.1beta versions - I have built a new RPM which works
with 4.1 - it will appear in my contrib area shortly.

Our lack of enthusiasm for taper is not related to any reliabilty problems
it may have, nor due to a lack of features. From what we have seen, it may
have too many features - it does not meet the "as simple as possible"
yardstick.
