Charlies Updated RPMS

I just installed e-smith and am in the middle of setting it up when i got
charlies email about the new rpms, I just installed them and am now trying
to add users to the system and am getting "Error: account name "cary" is too
long. the maximum is characters"

no maximum characters specified just says exactly that now I don't know if
it's the new rpms or not as this is a brand new 15 minute old install
