You could always run SMP with pptp without using a different kernel. The
problems were with modules shipped with the PPP RPM, and only those
modules needed to be fixed, by compiling them correctly. An update RPM has
been available for quite some time.

As long as you did this in /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/smb.conf/
then you will not have a problem.

Out of interest, why did you do that? If you are those domains for mail
only (via an MX record in the DNS) it is harmless to also answer HTTP
requests for those domains - nobody will come to your server for those
domains if your server is not listed in the DNS for the domain.
