I was having a go at my first e-smith install (4.1rc4) last night, and
I had a few problems, some of which are no doubt my misunderstandings,
but others look a bit like possible faults.
One that really puzzles me is with pseudonyms. The software states
that when a new user is created, two special pseudonyms are created
from the first and last names. This failed last night, and I'm not
sure why.
I created one user "frank", with name "Frank" "Carver", and the
pseudonyms were created OK. I then created another user "margaret"
with name "Margaret" "Carver", but no psudonyms appeared. At first I
thought this might be because I hadn't enabled the user by supplying
a password, so I did that. The new user changed colour in the user
list, but still no pseudonyms.
Is there something simple I'm missing, or should I investigate ths
further?
