I think I have fixed the problem with the domain clash.
For those that don't know what I am talking about here is a quick
synopsis..
E-Smith set up on local domain ourdomain.local and a virtual domain of
ourdomain.co.uk so we can receive mail. Our web site is hosted at our
ISP www.ourdomain.co.uk. When using the Proxy server our users were
getting the I-bay associated with the external interface and not the web
site.
What I have done is manually edit the httpd.conf file to eliminate all
references to www.ourdomain.co.uk and I have also disabled any websites
on our external interface as they are not required. Also I have changed
the www host record to point at the ISP. For some reason we had to clear
out the internet cache files in IE but now it works as expected. YES :)
One slight problem now is that I hacked the httpd.conf file directly and
I believe this will be overwritten the next time someone uses the web
management interface. Could anyone point me in the right direction of
some documentation on the httpd.conf templates and how to disable some
parts of it?
Many Thanks to all who tried to help me previously
