I have had success using the following client: http://winscp.vse.cz/eng/ This is a Windows based client/front-end to SCP. It works with all the group permissions and maintains an encrypted connection. This is a good answer to the question "How do I let remote users update their websites?". For reference, I am using 4.1.2 with the SSH update listed in the bugs section of e-smith.org.
