E-smith appears to our internal net as gatekeeper.nigs.net and to the outside world as pc-blah.ntlworld.com and also as nigs.homeip.net due to the use of dyndns. I don't have any MX records set up for the dynamic name as all mail is pulled off a pop3 server elsewhere, then delivered to the appropriate user account by e-smith by setting the 'Select Sort Header' to X-Envelope-To. Works extremely well and is documented at http://www.networklab.co.uk/cmodem/esmith.html, tho' some of the email and domain detail is missing (too much to do!). > Then, there is qmail. and fetchmail. > Since this is a "stealth" system (no public domain > name for this box other than XYZ.home.com) I'd like to > use fetchmail to "POP" the email from the external > systems that hold it for me and deliver it locally to > myuser on the e-smith box.
