Erm...
That's the same message I get when I try to connect to
news.wanadoo.fr...
Are you sure you are dialling up to a wanadoo server? Do you have to pay
them extra to get news access? Is it possible that their servers are
down at the moment?
Try finding an open news server, and connecting to that.
