After some more research it doesn't look like it does. See
http://www.obtuse.com/juniper-docs/man/smtpd.html. I saw references that
implied it was doable in newer versions of sendmail, but that's so complex I
wouldn't trust it. Looks like it's pretty easy to setup using Postfix, but
that probably means scrapping e-smith and building my own, unless I find
some equivalent server/gateway that uses postfix already...
OTOH, a POP before SMTP type of validation would work just as well for me.
Has anyone done that with obtuse smtpd before?
