I have also had it with Netscape mail as well.
It happens to me when.
I send an email and then click on my sent items folder. It will then update
with the new emails (Like the one I just sent).
Now if I go and click back on my inbox before the sent items has finished
updating.... BINGO! I can force it everytime.
However in answer to you question. Yes it happens to me a lot. Another
developer and my boss and one secretary. For them and the other times that
I don't 'force' it, I have no idea why it happens.
I have just weighed up costs and benefits and are sticking with IMAP.
However none of our installed clients >50 users have reported a problem?
