Hmmm... perhaps I should word that differently in the manual. The
current model is that when *anyone* clicks on Blades in the server
manager (in either the ServiceLink or non-ServiceLink version) the SME
Server downloads the current list of *publicly-available* blades to
the server. This may include supported or unsupported blades that are
developed by either Mitel staff or folks like those of you on this list.
In the current model, ServiceLink subscribers may also see
*additional* blades which may be available only to subscribers or
from their particular partner. So the ServiceLink list may be
larger and offer additional options. That is the current difference.
In the weeks ahead, I and others here will be working on additional
documentation about how to contribute blades so that you all can
use the architecture. Essentially, if you package your software as
RPMs, as many of you have already done, there is just some additional
information necessary to make the software into a blade.... but in
getting the software into an RPM, you have done most of the work.
Stay tuned for more information.
Regards,
Dan
