Hi all colisters,
I'm pleased to announce a new version of e-smith monitor (2.00-01). Most
of the work has been internal as no new functionalities have been added. The
data gathering script now runs as a System V daemon and is lighter for the
system. Sysstat package is no longer needed. We believe that the "password
bug" and the "timestamp bug" have been resolved (please verify).
Any comment or bug report will be appreciated. Once this version is declared
stable we will start adding new functionalities. Please, follow the install
instructions (don't upgrade directly as this will break the install some way
(?).
You should be able to find the packages and instructions in:
Official site
ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/contrib/eneo/RPMS/noarch/
Others places kindly offered to us (thanks again to them)

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE
It seems the first file I sent to our providers corrupted some way the rpm
files (the zip file was OK). When installing it will give an error, if so,
just try to get it from other source or wait a couple of days before they
update (I have sent to them a new zip file). You can verify the packege
before trying with rpm -Vp package.rpm Also, you might see that they don't
have the newest version yet. Again try in a different place or wait a couple
of days.
SME RELEASE
All the work was done before SME server was in the download area and we
don't have a copy yet (you know we have a 56K connection and only "free"
during afternoons and night :((( So we have not tested it besides ESGS 4.1.2
We will post in this list any finding once we install Mitel's SME. It might
be a good idea to download from the "other" places as e-smith's ftp server
surely will be overloaded.
Regards and enjoy !!
