Yes, that works for me.
I had to stop Tapeware first before I could do the rmmod, but I noticed
after I mounted the CD-ROM that I could reinstall the ide-scsi module
(insmod ide-scsi) and restart Tapeware, and the CD-ROM mount continued to
work fine.
If you are not running tape backups you may not need this module, so you can
leave it uninstalled. Not sure about that.
