Darrell,

Everything seems fine on my test system with Update2 -- the entry in
/etc/services reads

pop3 110/tcp pop-3 # POP version 3

so both 'pop3' and 'pop-3' will be picked up, and xinetd accepts pop
connections fine here. Could you find out from the user that
contacted you what the full error from startmail was, or better yet
get him in touch with [EMAIL PROTECTED] directly?

Thanks,

  -Rich
