What I do need is for developers to to assist in reviewing the template fragments and suggesting changes, additions, etcetera so we can get an effective smb.conf template structure. I have had some discussions of breaking the entire smb.conf fragments down into smaller per command fragments. Each command being set for a 'safe' SME5 default plus with options commented and listed in the fragment for alternative settings, but simply remarked out. This sounds effective to me but requires input from the community on what we want included. I know everyone is busy, but if you have some samba knowledge and can assist, please jump in. As it is now I'm almost certain the profiles fragment is incomplete. Anyone who has a W2K/XP domain and has an effective smb.conf file, please forward to me with your comments for review. If Mitel has anyone working on this, let's work together.
