Hi guys,

I want to setup an IPSec test environment in the office here, and want to
replicate as much as possible the process eventually needed to get this to
work on the "real internet"

At present we use our SME v5 as a gateway only, no storage of files, no
email, just the secure boundary to our LAN. So I don't mind using that box
as one of the test boxes (a rebuild if required will take 15 mins <G>).

Below is a diagram of what I am hoping to do.

Internal LAN (existing)
          |
SME v5 Gateway (existing)
                    |
subnet of private use IPs (ext) - Router (ext) - ADSL Modem (ext) - Internet
       |
Router (new - pretending to be internet)
       |
SME v5 Gateway (new - for testing)
       |
LAN (for testing)

The SME at present has the default route for internet traffic going out
through the existing freesco based router
Is it possible to add a new router within my DMZ to act as a
"mini-internet", and set up routing tables on the existing SME to route test
traffic that way?
I will use freesco for the new router unless people have better
alternatives, as that provides for both static and dynamic IPs (something I
want to test) for the new SME v5 Gateway.

TIA,
