> Has anyone rebuilt the apcupsd rpm specifically for 4.1.2/SME5 auto
> install yet?

I use it. I have rebuilt the rpm from source, using srpm for redhat 7.0,
both on 4.1.2 and SME5.

Here's what I did:

 - install apcupsd.rpm (I can send you the rpm, if you need)
 - edit /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf to set DEVICE to serial port ups is
connected to
 - /sbin/e-smith/db configuration set apcupsd service InitscriptOrder 20
status enabled
 - link /etc/rc.d/init.d/e-smith-service /etc/rc.d/rc7.d/S20apcupsd

Then I copied (from /etc/apcupsd/cgi) multimon.cgi upsfstats.cgi
upsimage.cgi and upsstats.cgi in the cgi-bin directory of an ibay and
created a link to multimon.cgi.

I did not build an rpm for e-smith because there are too many variables, so
a complex (for me) manager panel is required.
Let's see:

UPSCABLE [ simple | smart | 940-00(20B,23A,24B,24C,24G,95A,95B,95C) |
940-15(24C) | ether ]
UPSTYPE [ backups | sharebasic | netups | backupspro | smartvsups |
newbackupspro | backupspropnp | smartups | matrixups | sharesmart ]
DEVICE /dev/ttyS1
BATTERYLEVEL 5
MINUTES 5

Batterylevel and minutes should be mutually exclusive depending on the UPS
type, that is SmartUPS calculates minutes using batterylevel and upsload.
I'm not sure.

Type ethernet reuqires extra parameter for master or slave.
I can provide working configs.

Ciao,
Filippo
