I had problems with e100.o from RedHat 7.0 (i.e. e-smith 4.1.2) that's version 1.2.1. It had problems with masqueraded connections, I didn't investigate much further, I immediately noticed impossibility to send mail messages over a certain size using an external mailserver, searched the net and found other having similar issues. The eepro100.o (Becker driver) worked well, but it doesn't recognize newest chips (82562 is one if I remember well) Now, RedHat 7.1 has 1.3.20 (checked on SME 5) while Intel has (last time I downloaded) 1.6.6. So I have built an rpm for e100.o version 1.6.6 from Intel to test on e-smith. Unfortunately I no longer have a board to test with and I would like to know if: - version 1.3.20 (standard on SME 5) no longer has problems with masq - version 1.6.6 works well on SME 5 If anyone is willing to test ver 1.6.6, I can send the rpm.
