Yes, the Samba docs are the worst I have seen for contradictions. Ok so
this means we are left with one valid parameter named 'domain admin
group' which now serves groups and users.

It is also confusing in name as AFAIK this parameter does not have
anything to do with 'granting' administrative privaleges. This parameter
simply recognizes the user or group as a member of the domain.

With further reading it appears this parameter requires a group entry
that encompasses 'all' users. This is so that all users are recognized
as a valid member of the domain. Under e-smith I believe this group is
the 'shared' group.

Can anyone confirm the 'shared' group would be the best group name to use
to include all users?

If this is correct then possibly the domain admin group parameter should
be set as follows:

domain admin group = @shared @admin admin root Administrator

This list the groups 'shared' and 'admin' and the users 'admin' 'root'
and 'Administrator' as valid domain users.

Comments are welcomed.
