Hi everyone. I have a question in regards to adding a new service to SME. I'm wondering if someone would check these steps and comment.
Step 1: - install the software as required to populate init.d with the new service: /etc/rc.d/init.d/mynewservice Step 2: - Add the service to the configuration database: /sbin/e-smith/config set mynewservice service \ InitscriptOrder 99 status enabled Step 3: Create a link in rc7.d to e-smith-service: ln -s /etc/rc.d/init.d/e-smith-service /etc/rc.d/rc7.d/S99mynewservice Have I got this right? Will this service and link survive an SME upgrade?
