Any of you who have posted to this list lately will know that one 
subscriber has a very broken vacation reminder program. He should
get it fixed.

Vacation autoresponders should never respond to mailing list messages. 
Mailing list messages are marked with the header "Precedence: bulk" for 
this purpose.

Vacation autoresponders should also keep a cache of addresses that they 
have already notified, and not notify them again until, say, a week has 
passed. We do not need to be informed ten times in a day that someone is 
on vacation.

It's also handy if "postmaster" addresses are reachable, so that 
complaints can be directed to the correct party. But since that has 
failed, I'll vent my frustration with a bit of public ranting. Ggrrrrrr!!!
