I did this, but found a minor problem.
The driver is named 3w-xxxx.o, and kernel-2.2.19 provides a file of the same
name.

Is there a way to avoiding using --force to install a file from one package
over a file with the same name from another?

I checked the maximum rpm book, and a quick google search didn't help much.

Or is this why we have /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8-e-smith? Does modprobe follow
the precedence in /etc/modules.conf, so that the e-smith modules get loaded
first?
