This is an easy one :) edit the hostnames and address and change the address for "mail.whateverhost.com". Then add a templates-custom entry in /etc/hosts and create an entry for mail.whateverhost.com. The e-smith manager takes care of the MX entries, and the server is the only thing that will care about and obey the hosts file. I had this very same problem at www.norame.com
