Hello all!

Hope someone can me out here... I've been beating my head against a wall
trying to figure out how to get this server to recognize the array
controller without any success.

Server is:
Dual-Processor Compaq Proliant ML 350 G2
w/ 4 36 Gb Hot-plug hard drives in a RAID-5 array
Compaq SMART 532 Array controller

Mitel SME 5.1.2

At any rate.. This is what I've done so far...
Tried doing a clean install, the Array controller is not seen at all. Only
the internal SCSI channels are seen.

I've set up a pair of 9 GB SCSI drives in a RAID-1 software mirror to boot
from, gone into /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8smp/block and did an "insmod
cciss.o" which seems to install the driver (according to Compaq, this is the
driver).

When I do an lsmod, it lists the cciss module as loaded but says that it's
unused and there's no /dev/sdc (sda and sdb would be the software raid-1
mirrored drives) which should be the RAID-5 array...

I've scoured Compaq's website, and the net looking for an answer and have
come up blank. Can someone help me out? What am I missing?

Thanks!
Ari
