Well, AFAICT, file sharing using PHProjekt is fairly secure as well.

Firstly, the file management system encrypts filenames and allows you to
select who has access to the file, either by user, group, combinations of
either, or completely open.

Secondly, the entire system (at least in my howto) is forced to use SSL

Thirdly, you have the option of enabling password encryption in the user
database for further security.

Take a look at it, Darrell. I'm sure you'll find it quite interesting.
