This provides the most flexibility and makes RAV transparent to the other systems so RAV works fine with anything in front of qmail, be it Obtuse SMTPD or mailfront. My only concern is mailfront does not currently match up to the features that Obtuse SMTPD provides. Gordon has stated this is coming however IMO this points out the switch was premature. I'm hoping Mitel will listen and return to using Obtuse SMTPD and wait for mailfront to catch up with the missing features before implementing. I know of many SME installs that will refuse to upgrade if the Obtuse SMTPD features are lost.
