Yes I have installed it on a 5.1.2 box and it works great.

A few things:

The mail front end doesn't matter--the email is checked from a procmail
rule.
For easy setup I used Darrel May's rpms.

Put the spamd startup in /etc/inittab
(/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/inittab/XX).

I installed from perl's CPAN, which made it easy, but when you configure
CPAN, don't let it do auto updates -- It updated perl and hosed a test
box. (I think now there is one module you have to install by hand
Net-DNS if I remember).

Put the updated $HOME files like .proc* and .spamrc (I forget the names)
where they get copied to each new users folder. And the pain is
updating the files for existing users.

I think that is about it, but if you have questions or need any working
configs email me.
I'll try to check my mail while I'm out of town this weekend.
