I've been looking at BackupEDGE. So far, it looks really good however I will state my testing has only been going for a few days so I'm not ready to give it a compelte thumbs up recommendation just yet.
As Bob Meyers stated it includes a great disaster recovery option. It includes the ability to create a RecoveryEDGE CD (or boot floppies) and all that is required to completely rebuild a server is to boot off the RecoveryEDGE CD, install your last MASTER backup tape, hit enter a few times and ... sit back and relax whilst your system restores itself. For resellers, this may also be used for 'cloning' systems as well. If you have a tape drive and a spare server, please give BackupEDGE a try and report your results. I've uploaded everything you'll need here: http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/beta/BackupEDGE/ Bob and anyone else that has been using BackupEDGE for a while, please share what you feel is a good 'edge' command-line backup and restore syntax. If the feedback is positive I'd like to work BackupEDGE into the server-manager so that simple backup/restore jobs are performed via the manager. It is a commercial product but the price is very reasonable. Full featured, Personal usage copy is $99.00 CAD ($65.00 USD). Corporate copy is $285.00 CAD ($187.00 USD).
