I wrote about this problem to the 'experienced user forum' but did not get a
working solution, so I thought I try here.

I have created a new entry for the crontab file, templated it, expanded the
template and restarted the crond service (as suggested on the forum), but it
doesn't seem to work. Here is an example of a test entry:

------- /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/crontab/test -------
 40 6 * * * echo test > /tmp/kees.tst
 --------------------------------------------------------------

> /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/crontab
> service crond restart

I have also noticed that 'crontab -l' tells me 'no crontab for root' (and the
same for the admin account.

If I manually edit the crontab file, using 'crontab -e', it works, but then
it is not templated.

I am stuck here, can anyone help out on this one?

Thank you very much,

Kees
