I control both sides of a SME dialup connection (hint: I help the ISP) and I'm sure that all calls logged in the accounting log match the calls logged at the isp, except when you cannot log-in (auth problem, expired account, part-time account outside business hours, etc). In that case, you spend the call setup fee, but nothing gets logged on sme (but the provider logs the call). As a side note, I also found that sometimes SME doesn't log a call termination if you shutdown the server while connected. After many hours of research, I quit, given that it's uncommon to shutdown linux. :-) > I will setup another server with the same configuration and see if I can > replicate the problem. I used a P120, it's enough for a basic dialup server to replacing a router.
