Thanks, I think in my very brief trial of IMP it did remove them from the queue. But maybe I deleted the messages while in IMP. I'll have to do another trial. I use Outlook in conjunction with IMAP when I'm using a Windoze box, and don't have any problems. The really great thing about IMAP is that I can then go to my 'nix box and access the same email via Pine.
