Trying to avoid a MTA flame war here...

Les - if you feel sendmail is a better choice, and you are prepared to
put in the effort to perform the conversion, please go ahead. Similarly
for Postfix or any other MTA.

We (Mitel) don't currently feel that sendmail is better choice, so we
are not planning to put in that effort, and at this stage would not be
convinced to change from qmail.
