If you are using the Desktop Backup Script that Filippo Carletti posted in
February. (or a variant on this theme)

http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo@lists.e-smith.org/msg07855.html

This worked well up to SME 5.5, but for SME 5.6 (b7) it no longer backs up
the MySQL database.

Luckily the changes are small, it just needs different 'signal-events' to be
called, as below:

    /sbin/e-smith/signal-event pre-backup

/bin/tar ... this line is unchanged

    /sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-backup

I expect that this is obvious to most people, but it is possible to miss,
and losing the MySQL database would not be fun.

(Note that this only affects people using the Desktop Backup Shell Script -
The official 'backup' from the ServerManager panel works as expected)

regards

Ian
