Hi,
I have posted in the forums, but no-one had an answer. As I am trying to
'develop' my server, I thought I may take the liberty of asking in here.
I seemed to have experienced the multidrop mail collection bug on 5.1.2 as
noted in Bugs. Whilst trying to find and alleviate the problem for myself,
as far as I can tell, the /etc/e-smith/events/actions/email-ipup script
fails at the following :
return unless (defined $properties{'EmailRetrieval'});
The script always returns at this point - I have tried my best to debug it
without success.
Mail collects OK if you are already online - e.g. someone is web browsing
for a period longer than the mail collection times, but fails on picking the
line up.
Having hashed out a couple of relevant (or irrelevant as the case may be)
lines, it all works swimmingly.
Can anyone advise exactly what the bug was, is it related to what I found
and what was the fix in 5.5 - I know the recommended fix is to upgrade, but
I have no other reason for doing so as everything else works as I want.
B. Rgds
John
No sig. I'm to dumb to come up with something intelligent.
