Hi Folks I am try to get qmail to delivery certain e-mails as local aliases on a domain that isn't setup on my SME server. Here is what I mean: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mydomain.com is a registered domain and is the primary on the server. All DNS records point to SME server.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] otherdomain.com is a registered domain but is not setup on the sme server - it is setup on a server in another country.DNS records point to the other server and mail sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] forwards to [EMAIL PROTECTED] So when a user sends to a user @otherdomain.com, if it is a local user it stays on SMe server and get delivered to the local user, otherwise all mail is sent to the otherdomain.com server. I think that I need to setup a custom template in the /var/qmail/alias directory with user mappings like: john@otherdomain:john Will this work? -- Regards Brandon Friedman E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Please report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] (only) to discuss security issues Support for registered customers and partners to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable archive at http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo%40lists.e-smith.org
