In a previous email I read that the file system did not update to ext3. If that changed is great. If you are upgrading to a different server with hardware raid you would need a some kind of migration tool (similar to Netware Migrate), but that is a different problem.
Every upgrade that I have seen from e-smith takes about 4 month or more for all the contributions to work and those did not involved a major kernel change and a file system change.
