    Actually, it's best to always call navigation-conf when lexicon
affecting the menu is altered.

    I don't see why not, for a standalone rpm. There is certainly no
danger in doing so. Currently in 6.0 it does tend to complain a lot
though, so you may wish to redirect stdout/stderr to /dev/null so you
don't scare the people installing your rpm. That's up to you though.
