To all,

I have had my cusick.ws name hijacked - I think :-)

The problem is that as of late Friday afternoon, my name now points to
216.35.187.246 which is not my ip address.

I did not make this change, obviously. Nobody at Register.com, where I
registered the name, can or will tell me how this happened or, more
importantly, when it will be fixed.

Register.com's nameserevers point to the correct ip, 208.31.47.196,
everybody else points to the "new" one.

The name now points to a site called WebSite.ws which is a ws namespace
registrar. I contacted them also, but they have not returned my
contacts.

What I would like to know is,

Has this ever happened to anyone here, and,
What can I do to expedite the repair.

Obviously any answers will have to go elsewhere, so if someone is
familiar with this type of situation and has any advice, I
would appreciate a reply to j_c_cusick at hotmail dot com.

I would not have bothered the list with this, but after a very
frustrating call to Register.com, I am becoming a little concerned that
they are dragging their heels on this matter.

Regards,

and Thanks,

John C.
