(I am not sure if this should be raised here or on contribs.org)

In the future the community will need to take care of support, so here is
one idea.

Would it be possible to receive notification via email of forum posts that
match certain keywords.

I ask this as I try to help people that have questions on the (few) areas
that I understand (a little). However I don't check the forums everyday, and
due to the nature of my day job I am often away. This means that I miss
questions that I could provide help on. An instance of this occured last
week, luckily I happened to look back a few pages, saw the question and
provided a solution.

Whilst many people are actively monitoring the forums there must be many
more like myself who are not able to do this, but who want to do our bit to
help. If I received an email alert every time (or day) that a forum post
mentioned certain keywords then I would at least read the relevant post and
hopefully make a useful comment.

I don't know if this is possible, or if the simple solution is to subscribe
to the forum's email and implement this locally using procmail.

regards

Ian Wells
