Yep, that makes sense, I did that change in the fdi2mpi script but haven't had time to change the mpi2udev script. I pushed those changes to http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~teuf/media-player-id/ in the "cleanups" branch, I'm about to leave on holidays until the 20th, so if someone wants to work on it in the mean time, it's all there.
