Launchpad Bug #379599[1] and GNOME bug #570133[2] describes the poor handling of multiple batteries over the last few years. This behavior has existed for several years (since the days of hal, it seems) but has been slow to progress due to a lack of test hardware. I now have access to a Dell Latitude and a second battery and can confirm that the behavior is still present. I've put up a `upower --monitor-detail` dump on the GNOME bug[3]. What else can be done to move this issue forward?
