Thanks for responding, but do you not monitor the gnome bugzilla for libatasmart? If not it should probably be closed down then so that it doesn't continue to gather reports that would be better sent directly to you. I filed this bug there with a patch attached back in March: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61998 Now that I have your attention on the matter at hand though, could you explain why libatasmart issues an IDENTIFY DEVICE command if it doesn't find the ID_ATA_SMART_ACCESS udev propery? A google search finds nothing other than libata smart referencing this, and this was causing it to wake up disks in the SLEEP state before I patched my kernel to fake the reply instead of sending the command to the disk. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.14 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCgAGBQJSjaB1AAoJEJrBOlT6nu75l40H+gL8ZL+JHF3OSUpa4y2ND+D+ EhPpTTnoEbh4KxPXjrUTf9tw7k34xmOcVTesqYKEY5hdxVjkVFayrqLM1vy0nrc2 V9cThDiq3xPjEL1meSFErX2ZxT/3aafAS7H5XVGLBQSwBVdst9V+g+12w6/jckyo yXN9L3eBrybVotZ9VxngNkOe3MjLXlS92KO++bwywV+GCHVCRRONeNSfs2q+J06a mOcdrMT5cz13kL7SvBh4wwwJBqgzog4Wdk5zCQeMsU7XY5JqRko22jM8EsVIqG4C dOY/rj0DmsUHt2y6L8wkzkRhUBw5E/NiTL+j/1ZhSjz/A5nWHmADwXtWhU4H7ew= =GpO9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ devkit-devel mailing list devkit-devel@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/devkit-devel
