Ah, nevermind then. I have little faith that your node will stay up to
date then. Having been through 3 versions in which the majority of
software was broken and never fixed, I am very dubious of the staying
power of any fully independent implementations of the Freenet protocol
(except for Whiterose, which is obviously maintained by an obsessed
maniac, which is a good thing).

This won't stop your node from breaking when 0.4 is released.
