Hi Folks!

i just started experimenting with the freenet sources from cvs.

it started fine at first, built the message store and so, but the fproxy
module crashed because some http/html crap was missing.
the node status modules (port 8889/8890) work, but when i start the first
request with frost or fmb, the whole thing locks up, after that it is not
even possible to reload the status page.
stopping the node makes it shutting down cleanly, so it seems only to be a
lockup at work.

the measurements taken by that gave me a good impression about the
performance. i have an old P200/MMX with only 64MB RAM.
the memory consumption was around 10MB (JRE1.4 around 18MB)
the data store initialization went at around double speed (did not measure
exactly).

i will go on with my experiments, even when i'm a newbie at java.

does anyone else fiddle around with gcj?

mfg The Bishop
