Oh good, thanks for that.  I'll give the native file system store a go 
on a machine with a bit of room, then.  As to when I RTFD, as Mr. 
Toseland suggests, we'll see.  However, his statement that Freenet 
_never_ stores plain text files is a bit sweeping.  The plain text files 
I currently have in /tmp are presumably created by the http servlets 
rather than the node itself, but are still stored by part of the Freenet 
distribution and are still plain text. In fact, now I come to look, I 
have 3 such files from 28/9/02 which could do with cleaning up!
