I only remember Ian bringing this up as a problem, but no resulting policy was posted here...
So what do I do if I want to apply some change done on HEAD to the stable branch? Simply putting it in is a bad practise IMO. Ideally a review person/board would take care of the branch. Think Marcello Tosatti or Mozilla Drivers if you like. -- Robbe
