IMHO our position should be that we will write Freenet to the API that
Kaffe (or any other free JVM) claims to support.  If we discover a bug
in Kaffe that prevents Freenet from running, then we will report it to
them, but we will not delay our project beyond that. I think this is 
more than sufficient to fulfill our obligation to those who want to run 
Freenet on an entirely Open Source platform.

Anything else would make us too vulnerable to the laziness of Kaffe 
developers (not accusing them of being lazy - just hypothetically).
