hi there. sorry for posting to both lists, but the devl-list is for the developers (i heard they only read that list???) and the support-list is for the other mere mortals... ;)
the problem is, IE reads and evaluates CSS in HTML files and starts fetching background-images, bypassing fproxy. maybe even other programs tend to bypass fproxy, too so what about writing a separate proxy-program, which will be connected by IE and all other programs on their way out into the internet. the proxy can then check if the request is a http one and if the http-referer can be identified as a html-page fetched by fproxy or other browser-based freenet gathering tools. if so (request freenet=secure space -> internet=insecure space), simply drop the request or return a "insecure request dropped" document. some thoughts? flames? ps: are there experiences with opera? i'd like to see opera within the "use one of these good browsers" list when a user uses IE :) ____________________________________________________________ The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
